My Identity in the 21st Century

Who you are today, may be different from who your parents were at your age. Defining who you are in today's world could show people who you could become in your future. My identity in the 21st century makes me different from everyone else.I live in Staten Island, New york; a suburban area that can now be seen as urban with the changes it's made over time. I also stay in Brooklyn, New York a lot to stay with my dad, so I' am in a city too. I' am a 15 year old girl who has a middle class lifestyle. I come from a mostly Italian decent but i have some German and English in me too. I' am a catholic and religion is important to me. i go to church when i can and i always go on holidays or religious holidays such as palm Sunday, ash Wednesday and others. Receiving my communion and confirmation is a very big deal in my family and is something that my family celebrates with a huge party. I have a really, really big family that i absolutely love. Playing sports has been apart of my life since i was 7 years old. I've been playing on basketball teams since i was 7, softball teams since i was 8, cheer leading since i was 9 and volleyball since i was 10. Now i am 15 and i play varsity basketball and softball for my high school. One item that is a very big part of my life is my ipod. i love listening to music and without my ipod with me at all times, id go crazy. In life the people and things around you help define who you are, whether its your family and friends, or an ipod and a basketball.
